My IPhone X went unresponsive after an hour walk outside in -2 degrees celcius. The phone was in my pocket. Black cross sign appeared on the battery symbol. Then after about 30 minutes my phone recovered and started functioning normally again.
What could be wrong?
The battery got too cold.
I think the best approach would be to contact Apple support - they can run diagnostics on your iPhone, including the battery.
The phone has been in colder weather many times before and for longer periods of time too.. my husband has the exact same phone and his didnt show any signs of malfunctioning. Could it be something else with the battery?
