Hi, I'm trying to install some apps (eg Evernote) but cannot as states I need iOS 10.3 or above. I have an IPad 2 A1395 model and currenfly my software update is at 9.3.5 and over wifi there is no more updates pending. How do I overcome this?

The iPad 2 cannot be upgraded past iOS 9.3.5.
Try downloading the current version to see if the developers left on older version of the app on Apple's iOS App Store servers.
If they did, you should get a pop-up to install the last, compatible version of the app.

I too have an iPad 2, Wi-Fi only. IOS 9.3.5 was the last IOS to run on the iPad 2. I recently bought an iPad PRO 9.7, just after the iPad 10.5 came out. That has a bucket full of battery running down fast issues!
Any software that needs later than IOS 9.3.5 will not be able to run on the iPad 2, sadly.

That model can not be upgraded beyond 9.3.5.
