Apple Code Of Ethics

Hello,

I have been assigned paper analyzing a company's code of ethics (assignment details below) and wanted to go with Apple. I have located the "Channel Member Code of Conduct" however this seems slightly too brought for an actual employee of Apple. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction or provide a current copy of Apples Code of Ethics.

Thank you!

Assignment:

A. Select an established company and analyze the company’s code of ethics by doing the following:

Note: You should be able to find the company’s code of ethics on the company’s website or in the company’s annual 10k report. Only use the code of ethics for part A.

1. Analyze whether the code of ethics is lacking in the area of corporate social responsibility.

2. Analyze whether the code of ethics is lacking in compliance with legal mandates.

a. Describe the implications of being noncompliant with legal mandates.

b. Describe two legal or ethical safeguards your chosen company has in place or could put into place.

Note: If the code of ethics is not lacking in these areas, you must explain why.

3. Analyze whether the code of ethics facilitates the development of an ethical culture.

4. Explain how an employee would raise an ethical concern in this company.

a. Describe three resources available to employees.

b. Discuss which resources you would most likely use.

5. Include the code of ethics you analyzed in part A by copying and pasting the code into a separate document. Please include this document as a separate attachment.

Likely there would be a significant non-disclosure agreement; to contact

any corporate or even Store staff may also be non-compliant with this.

An employee-level undoubtably has codes of conduct. And then there's

a matter of 'intellectual property' and corporate processes that include

management practices that may be held close, for good reason.

Perhaps to look into how various corporate giants are structured could

yield some clues; there may be a path that is accessible and allowed.

Good luck & happy trails! 🙂

Kellan ~ From Apple's latest FORM 10-K:

The Company has a code of ethics, “Business Conduct: The way we do business worldwide,” that applies to all employees, including the Company’s principal executive officer, principal financial officer, and principal accounting officer, as well as to the members of the Board of Directors of the Company. The code is available at investor.apple.com/corporate-governance.cfm.

...At the above link, under the Governance Documents section, see the link to Business Conduct Policy.
