How can I open my Mac Mail window without always opening saved emails in my dock?

Open Spotlight and open Mail that way.

Ridiculous statement! There are multiple methods for opening any applications, there are several "correct" ways to open any app on a Mac.

I don't believe there is a way to do what you want: if you think about it - you have emails sitting in the dock and your Mail app is in the dock. So, if you open the Mail app, all other items connected to that app will be opened.

So, my question is: why do you feel that you need to have individual emails in the dock (rather than keeping them where they normally are: in your Inbox)?

Mails are not saved in the dock , either you can save them save as drafts , create new mail box , or create new mailbox folder and drag and drop mails inside it and compose a new mail then can send later .

But all of this will be done inside your apple mail application , you can consult in apple support also , what babowa explained you clearly is correct and others also .

How about a work around then: create a mail folder "Read" or "Important" and move those emails into that folder. That way you only have one folder to look at and can delete the email from there when you're done with it.

The OP is asking to drag and drop mails from inside application to the dock that has not be done , and you are using spotlight and get mails application to be opened .

Where does the OP say anything about dragging and dropping mail from inside the application?

Take the meaning out from this sentence - How can I open my Mac Mail window without always opening saved emails in my dock .

Do you recommend to open saved emails in the dock , strange .

I have never seen mails out of the mail application , they are always sent or received from mail application .

You have to have the Mail app open in order to open e-mail. If you are attempting to open mail without opening the app this cannot be done.

Correct 😁 You can also select a mail , take cursor on top menu bar file > export as pdf and another method can directly drag and drop mail to the desktop , or in the dock can be done , but for a normal everyday use no one drags mail in the dock , either they are saved as drafts and sent later .
