SD card reader not working on iPad Air 2

I’ve been using an SD card reader connected to my iPad Air2 with a lightening connector (Apple product) and suddenly it’s stopped working. It still works with my iPhone X and my Mac Book Pro can also read the photos on the SD card. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution?

Hi, I do think it’s the latest iOS update and how it affects the iPad. For now I’m using the connector with my iPhone X to my iCLoud account. Then I can look at and edit them on the larger screen of my iPad. I don’t know if other iPhones will work with the connector also. I have the same version of iOS on both my phone and iPad so it’s something specific to the iPad. Let’s hope Apple fixes it with another update.

Hi, further info on my issue: I’ve ‘rebooted’ my iPad several times and that doesn’t change anything. The Photos app doesn’t recognize there’s anything connected to it, I don’t get the ‘Import’ tab/menu option any more. I’ve been importing photos using this connect for several years now. It seems to have stopped working since updating to iOS 11.2.1 but I also have 11.2.1 on my iPhone and it works there.
