Hello I have an Ipod nano 2nd generation and the cable does not work anymore. I have another cable, not original, which does not keep connection with iMac longer than 2 minutes. Which original cable should i buy to substitute it?

It should be fine. When you buy it make a point of stating what you wish to use if for so you can return it if it doesn't work. You could also check for fluff in your docking port and if found remove carefully with a thin sliver of card or plastic, taking care not to damage any contacts.
