How do I get my Oticon OPN Hearing Aids to stay connected and functioning with iPad and iPhone?

My Oticon Opn hearing aids connect, disconnect and malfunction at random when connected to my iPhone 6S and iPad Pro 10.5. Both Apple devices are updated to iOS 11.2.1. Under the Battery Widget on the iPad it’s showing 3 left hearing aids and 3 right hearing aids all with different battery levels and currently I can’t get any app to play through my hearing aids. I’ve had these hearing aids since around the middle of December. When the hearing aids or Apple device malfunction they create a sound like as if something is getting stuck. It just repeats the sound and at times is quick enough to sound like static instead of a single sound repeating. Ive tried pairing and forgetting the hearing aids in settings multiple times and it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I just want my hearing aids to pair well and work with my Apple devices, what can I do to improve them?
