ICloud Personal hotspot not working

Hi Apple Commnity,

I have an iPhone X and an iPad Pro 9.7 Inch both on the same iOS version (11.2.1). The only problem is that On my iPhoneiPad, I see my phone as a personal hotspot but I cannot connect to it. I tried it on my sister ‘s iPhone 8 who is not on the same iCloud account as me and it worked with ease. My friends were also able to use my iPhone X has a personal hotspot, but my iPad kept showing “Remote Hotspot Failure” when I tried connecting to my own phone’s personal hotspot. Could anyone please help me with my problem? I have restarted my phone and iPad and have resetted my iPhone’s network settings. I do not know what else to do.

Hi. Since your iPad can see the hotspot, what happens when you try to connect?

Exact text of any message?

Have you tried resetting the network settings on the iPad? Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Yeah I have the same issue except the phone is a 7. I think it might be a problem with the Ipad pro 9.7 and ios 11.2.1. My son has an air 2 and iphone 6 on 11.2.1 and it works fine.

I can get it to work by disabling bluetooth on both devices and turning hotspot the connecting to the hotspot from the phone.

Not convenient having to fumble around to get it working. Hopefully apple will provide a fix ASAP as it should just work.

Hey i have same problem. But i have small solutuon. When i turn on my macbook, i can connect to my iphone hotspot. After macbook is connected, ipad air 2 and iphone 7 can connect too. As hotspot i have iphone SE. I dont know why is problem, because few weeks ago worked everything perfectly.

I see the hotspot And I clicked on it. It just showed the loading circle and then says remote hotspot failure After around 30 seconds. Yes, I have resettled my network settings on both devices.
