Hello

I've just bought a MacPro. In one place I work there is a printer with an IP. It is a Ricoh MP c6003. With my Mac I tried to print but i couldn't.

I tried installing:

Ricoh drivers for Mac OS. V.3

Driver: Ricoh MP C6003 PS

The printer receives some data from my computer, I checked it out using the browser, but suddenly and after receiving th data is cancelled by the printer.

I tried using the diferent protocols (IPP, LPD.......)

What else can I do?

All the best and thank you so much

Daniel

Ok, I am assuming that you have already deleted this printer and want to try to add it back.

Let's try the following:

  • Run the Terminal app in the /Utilities folder.
  • At the Terminal prompt, enter: ping -c3 IPAddressofthePrinter <return>
    • Substitute the actual IP Address for "IPAddressofthePrinter"
    • Was your Mac successful in pinging this printer?
      • If yes, continue.
      • If not, then there is an issue with your network settings that is not allowing your Mac to locate the printer and further troubleshooting will be required.
  • System Preferences > Printers & Scanners
  • Click on the "+" button to add a printer.
  • In the Add window, on the Default tab, does this printer show up?
    • If it does, what appears under the Name & Kind columns?
    • If not, click on the Windows tab. Does it show up here?
  • If this printer does not show up on either of those tabs, click on the IP tab.
    • In the Address field, enter the IP address for the printer.
    • Leave the Protocol set to: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
    • Optionally, you can enter a Name & Location for the printer.
    • Click on Add.

Sorry, I really don't have an answer for you.

Last three things that come to mind:

  1. Be sure you have the latest print drivers for the version of macOS that you are running.
  2. Review the user guide for this printer to see if it offers any clues.
  3. Work with your company's IT folks. If you ARE "IT," then you may want to contact Ricoh support directly for assistance with this matter.
