Hi
I dont use Safari I use firefox but since I updated to OS High Sierra 10.13.2 Safari loads each time I start the computer, I have checked all preferences and is not there to launch when login. Can someone help please and thank you in advance.
MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)
Open system references > users & groups > login items
Click Safari to highlight it, hit the - "minus" sign at the bottom of the list.
Restart the computer.

1. Use Malwarebytes for Mac to remove malware/adware.

The installer may ask you to allow it in Security & Privacy /System Preference. Allow it.
2. Disable all extensions and test.
Turnoff or uninstall extensions.

3. Choose your preferred search engine.
Delete all text in the Smart Search field, click the magnifying glass , then choose a search engine from the list.

5. Restart your Mac.
6. Launch Safari holding the Shift key down.
