how do I make a song available offline?

Using iPhone 8. I've tried the guidelines I found online, but none of the icons or selections suggested appear on my phone.

The option only appears if you subscribe to Apple Music for which there is a monthly charge after the initial 90 day trial period. Is that what you where asking about? An Apple Music Subscription?
