When I am trying to activate viber on a new device, why does it ask for a 6-digit code but text me a 4-digit code?

I am trying to activate Viber on an iPad. I already have Viber on my iPhone. When I enter my cell phone number on the iPad's Viber, the app asks for a 6-digit code to activate Viber; it states that it has sent that 6-digit code to me by SMS. However, it actually texts me a 4-digit code instead. I have tried entering that 4-digit code in the iPad to activate Viber, but it doesn't work (no option to "continue").


Has anyone else had this problem?
