Can you have 2 watches 2 people on 1 Apple ID and

Do you have to have 2 Apple IDs if you have 2 people wearing different apple watches to use the workout feature and keep our workouts separate?

Hi


More than one Apple Watch can be paired to the same iPhone, with the user's Activity data syncing between them automatically when switching between watches. However, only one of the paired watches can be active at any given time:


Use more than one Apple Watch with your iPhone - Apple Support


For various features and services - including, but not limited to fitness and activity tracking - to function as intended, an Apple ID account should not be shared. An Apple Watch and its paired iPhone should also only be used by the same, single user.


Each user should instead have a separate Apple ID and be signed in accordingly on their iPhone and Apple Watch.

Should you wish to share eligible past and future purchases (iTunes music, apps, books, etc), then you can still do so via Family Sharing (a free Apple service). Other features of Family Sharing include a shared family calendar, shared photo album and the ability to set reminders that will alert all family group members:

If you are currently sharing an Apple ID across two different watches and iPhones, then the person who sets up a new Apple ID should also first unpair their Apple Watch from their iPhone and then pair it again after the iPhone has been configured to use the new Apple ID:
