How to put a URL on a photo...

This probably sounds very naive (which it is!) but how do I make/give one of my pictures a URL. I'd like to add my picture to an auction and use a URL.

Thank you very much!

Hi there,

QuickTimeKirk is correct, you will need to upload your photo to a server or any server you have access and permission, like a work website or personal website. You can also use a photo service like http://flickr.com/ AND be allowed to 'hot link' to that photo, link and URL are almost the same thing in your case. The url is only a location of where the website, page or even photo is located on the World Wide Web...

Good luck, Rick

Brilynn,

Another site you may want to check out is Photobucket.com. It's free (unless you upgrade to the "pro" version). You can upload your photos into albums and sub-albums. It will give you a URL for each photo, and you are allowed to hot link, so it works for eBay and blogging. They even allow you to upload small video clips. I've used it just so far-away relatives could see video of the kids.
