My Apple TV keeps crashing and remote disconnecting

Do you have multiple apple TVs? I have 2 and thought it might have been the remotes interfering with each other and crashing the system.

This issue is happening on both Apple TVs. I only noticed the issue after buying a new 4K apple TV, although this could have coincided with a TVOS update.

Restarting the Atv seems to fix the problem temporarily (like a week or two). The fix will probably have to come from Apple....hopefully soon.

I think it has to do with TVOS 11.2.5 or 11.2.6.

After those updates I started having these problems with my Gen 4 and 4K Apple TVs. Before those updates, no problems.

I continue to have this same problem with my Apple TV 4K. I have updated the software to 11.2.3 and it has not resolved the issue. I have 3 other Apple TVs (one gen 3 and 2 gen 2) that do not have the issue . There seems to be no pattern to the cause. Extremely frustrating to consistently have to unplug and restart the device.

I am having the same problem with my Apple TV 4K. It just started today, just 4 days after I set it up. It was working fine the first 4 days and now it is doing this. It is sooo annoying.

I have an AppleTv 2 and I just started having this same problem after 2 years of owning it. I think it is a software issue.

I am experiencing a similar issue and often multiple times a day. Sometimes the only fix is to ‘hard’ restart the device by pressing the Menu and TV buttons on the remote simultaneously for a few seconds until the device resets (white light will blink a few times).

It’s dissapointing that such a premium device would be so glitchy. My old Apple TV 2 never had these problems.
