"System Storage" is 18GB on new iPhone X

Hello

I have new iPhone X 64GB, latest version 11.2.1 with iCloud storage and few applications, photos, Mail, Messages are all using 19GB but System is using 18GB which is unusual!

I tried to delete some apple and personal applications but it increased the system storage!

I tried to restore the phone throw latest iTunes which takes ours to restore everything but same issue!

How to free up this system storage or to find out what is really consuming that much of storage?

Hi

Try a reboot press the side volume button up quickly then side volume button down quickly then press & hold power button down until you see apple logo.

Then check System storeage.

Hi

Turn iPhone off Make sure your pc is running the latest iTunes 12.7.2

Connect lead to USB on your pc Press just the power button down on iPhone don't let go Connect lead to iPhone keep power button pressed down until pc sees iPhone Then wait for restore you may need to do this more than once Before it works.

Let me know if this works.

Hi Brainsddall,

I tried restore it throw latest iTunes before and does not solve the issue, I spend hours after that to restore my applications, data,contacts,WhatsApp and other settings

I don’t think doing it many times will resolve this, it might be an issue with current iOS version calculating the system storage or matter of memory cach files not cleared because I see system storage increasered when I delet any application!
