Difference between EDGE, 3G and 4G - Explained

EDGE is the slowest. It has basic uses that we use 4G for today. EDGE and GPRS were in the first generation to 3GS iPhone. Than there was 3G that a lot of carriers support today, in 2018. iOS 7 had a great beam with 3G. And in 2014, Apple added 4G to the iPhone which was perfect for Netflix. WiFi then received a boost and everyone used it and uses it today.
