phone is now locked because it is not recognizing my passcode therefore it is not recognizing my fingerprint. Been on hold with Apple Support for awhile hoping there is a solution. If anyone has any ideas - PLEASE help.

The fingerprint (TouchID) is dependant on the passcode, and TouchID will disable itself if you enter the passcode incorrectly too many times (and for other reasons as well), so Touch ID is no longer an option.
