why is my phone still saying searching or no service?

my phones been saying no service or searching for 2 weeks now. I reset It and it would come on for like 5 minutes but goes back to saying no service. I updated My carrier settings, reset my network settings, and did any other updates. I have an iPhone 7 and its only a year old. It’s in good condition, never cracked it. I took The SIM card out and put it back in and still nothing. My dad took it to my carrier today and it worked for a little bit but when back to saying searching or no service. I don’t know if it’s the antenna. If anyone knows what i could possibly do now please let me know !

iPhone 7, iOS 11.2.1, My phone is not damaged in any way.

I was Able to fix it. I now Have service. Plug your phone into the computer and reset it and then look up the process to restore it. Make sure you back up your phone first. It’s a pretty long process but i now Have service

I would make an appointment at the genius bar at your nearest Apple store. Have you tried a different Sim from your carrier?

Thoroughly and completely follow all directions in the article you attached above.

One that I see that you did not mention you performed is:

"If you still can't connect to a cellular network, and have confirmed with your carrier that there isn't an issue with your account or network, try restoring your device."

It appears that you have tried most of what is on this link but I am posting it so others can see the exact steps -If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

no i have not. I am Going to go back to my carrier tomorrow and maybe we will switch SIM cards there

When you restored it did you have problems? My iPhone 7 is doing the exact same thing but I’ve read that if restored it might not read the SIM card or have carrier trouble
