My brother's new iMac has already been infected with Cuttinsledge adware. Does anyone know how to remove it?
He's running macOS 10.13. All the instructions that I've found so far refer to folders that do not appear to be in 10.13. ~Library/LaunchAgents for instance.

You can download the free trial of Malwarebytes for Mac. It "should" find any traces.
Your syntax is wrong…
~/Library/LaunchAgents
you left out the first /
There is in mine. Of course if the folder is not there none of their files can be in it. The folder wouldn't be there if you haven't installed anything that creates a LaunchAgent .plist.
In mine all I have is 4. one for dropbox, spotify, virtualbox and the Adobe updater.

Did you find the Safari extension?
He does not see an extension in Safari->Preferences->Extensions.
I will research MacKeeper and Malwarebytes. Although, he got in this mess by downloading a driver for his scanner from the manufacturers web-site, so he might not be enthused about downloading something from an unknown source.

Unfortunately , this does not solve the problem. It refers to folders that do not exist in macOS 10.13. What is the equivalent folder in 10.13 to ~Library/LaunchAgents?
That was a typo on my part. My apologies.
In 10.13 when I look in ~/Library/ there is no LaunchAgents folder.

No. I rarely pay attention to links on a page but now that I looked all I see is links for Windows tools. Where do you see MacKeeper?

A couple screen shots. Strangely, the links go to different Ads when viewed on my iPad.
