Is there a way to set a single song to crossfade?

So, I know that you can tell iTunes to fade in and out songs, but I don't know if it is possible to create crossfade settings for each song separately. I hope there is because I have downloaded music that plays twice in the file but cuts off during the second run--through (if that makes sense), but they all don't do that at the same time.

Alright, where can I find that audio application? Also, I can’t remember, but I think I once created the fading out effect on QuickTime player, is that possible or am I rembering wrong?

J Anime,

Audacity is an open-source audio editor. A quick web search will turn it up. Or, if you already have GarageBand on your Mac, you can use it to make a track fade out:

QuickTime can be used to shorten a track, but it cannot make a fadeout.

J Anime,

OK, understood. Other then the cross-fade between songs, there is no setting in iTunes to make a song fade out.

If you want to modify the audio file to always fade out, you can do so with an audio editor. For example in Audacity this is done by using the command Effect > Fadeout. After editing, export the new version and add it to iTunes.
