Accessing my MacBook Time Machine??

How do I access my Mailbox from my Time Machine? My mailbox, which has many, many emails missing....

When i try to access my Mailbox from my Time Machine, from my Applications, all that I am getting of my Mailbox is seen in this screenshot:

I am unable to open anything...

Update: Since posting my question above, I saw that I should access the time machine from the location that I am interested in.... when I went to the email folder with the known missing emails, and accessed time machine, and looked at the past back-ups, but still to no avail.... the emails just disappeared.
