Copy/Paste Login/P/W

When using Safari to access a website I copy the "Username" from a P/W, from an app, and then paste it into the Username of the web site. I then copy the P/W from the same app and attempt to enter it into the website. It does not paste. I can use Firefox Copy and Paste from the P/W app and then into the website and it takes both. Is there a setting in Safari that prevents me from Copy and Paste both Username and P/W or is it a security thing with the website? Any ideas?

This is a combination of browser and the specific website in action.

If Firefox allows it, it may not be a site specific security feature.

I don't know any preference option that turns on copy and paste password for website login.

Sites that deals with online banking and bill paying, I have to enter password manually even with

"Remember me" enabled.

Many sites allow "fill in the password" if you click the password key icon in the password field.
