I need to password protect a TextEdit document, and the answer given here is not satisfactory: Password protect text edit documents.
Does anyone have another solution, please?

How about copying and pasting it to a Secure Note in either your Notes app or in Keychain?

You can just select macOS under the macOS Apps section. Sometimes it's not exact, but they will read the feedback! 🙂
