Battery continues to drain when wireless charging

I have a fast charge enabled wireless charger at home that I have no issues with at all.

My coworker gave me his wireless charger because he didn't need it anymore. I have gotten the wireless charger set up on my desk and now when I lay my iPhone X on this charger it starts to charge and then continuously stops charging and then starts charging again. After 20 minutes of not messing with my phone at all the battery has decreased by 2%.

I have changed bricks and cables and I still can't get it to charge correctly.

iPhone X, iOS 11.2.1

Thanks sberman, I tried charging my phone in lower power mode and still the battery drains.

I have no idea if it's a Qi-certified charger because I never saw the box. Nothing on the charger itself says anything about Qi.

I'll stop trying to use the charger.

Thank you for your answers 🙂

If you know the make and model of the charger, you may check it out in the "Qi Certified Product Database", which is referenced in the article I attached above.

If you do not know the make or model of the charger, then it would likely flunk the Qi certification.
