Using Loopback

Is it possible to have the loopback plugin start a recording when the project beat count reaches a certain number, rather than needing a midi input to trigger the recording? I've been trying to figure out a solution myself for a quite a while now, and I haven't found any way to do this.

So I'm doing this through mainstage 3 and the song is played on a ukulele along with a backing bass and drum track through the playback plugin. When I play the main melody for the first time after the intro (which is 8 bars), I want a loopback plugin to start recording what I'm playing for 16 bars and then stop recording and save that recording for later. Then once the main melody comes around again, I want loopback to play the recording so I can play a harmony along with the main melody I recorded earlier (but the harmony doesn't need to be recorded). I know this entirely doable with any kind of midi input, like a foot pedal to trigger the events, but I don't have a foot pedal, and I don't have a free hand to be pressing any buttons on my midi keyboard while I'm playing. So I'm just trying to find a time based solution for something like this. If you need any other details, just let me know
