how does one delete old email addresses from the contact list that Siri found in an old account

iOS 11.2.1 when sending a message or email the phone keeps detecting an old email address from somewhere in the contact list, however I cannot locate the email address in question when checking all 166 contacts. The email address in question is listed as “other”. Obviously there is no “other”. How do I delete?

If you are talking about the email addresses that come up as suggestions in the mail app, tap the “I“to the right of the suggested contact. In the next Window, swipe down all the way to the bottom and then tap Remove from Recents.
