My notes app freezes. It was working perfectly until the big iPhone update in October and the little updated have not fixed the problem.

My notes app freezes. It usually happens right away - as soon as I open it. It was working perfectly until the big iPhone update in October and none of the little updates since then have fixed the problem. I made sure I am signed into iCloud on my iPhone and iPad so the data in notes synchronizes. I have closed out the app and reopened it several times and that has not helped. I have, also, closed down and then reopenef my iPhone. It is a 6S with the latest update 11.2.1. How do I fix this major problem?

Hello eroomapple,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that your Notes app is freezing as soon as you open it. If this is the only app that is having this issue, removing the app by deleting it and then re-downloading it may help. The following article has steps on how to delete built-in apps and then reinstall them:

Delete built-in Apple apps on your iOS 11 device or Apple Watch - Apple Support

Best Regards.

I tried deleting and reinstalling, and that did nothing to fix the issue. The app is constantly slow and or freezes when opening or starting to type a new note. Constantly needing to force quit in the latest iOS. By the time I get the app ready to enter notes, half of the meeting is over or we‘re already onto the next topic. Another issue is that it takes several days after deleting notes on my iPad and re-sync 3500 notes from iCloud on a super fast (300 Mbps) internet connection. Please fix the critical bug and post an updated app download.
