iCloud locked reset via iTunes

My iCloud was locked so basically I can not sign it out from my iPhone. If I restore it to factory settings then, restore again using a backup. Will the iCloud be still there?

Thanks

Yes it will be. You cannot remove an iCloud account with a restore. You need to reset your password for your Apple ID.

Thank you but I can’t sign it out because the apple id itself is locked due to security reasons. I forgot my password and tried multiple times so maybe that’s why it got locked. I tried to unlock the appleid via iforgot.apple.com but I don’t have access to the old phone number. So i tried the start recovery and provide my new number. So my next step is just to wait for the support to respond?
