With Pages '09 v4.3 (AW6 WP), or Numbers '09 v2.3 (AW6 Spreadsheet). Complicated AW documents using multiple features of AW may not open in either. You can acquire the iWork '09 DVD from Amazon/Ebay resellers, and once installed on OS X Lion 10.7.4 or later, update it with the Apple iWork 9.3 updater.

LibreOffice 5.4.4 (or later) can open ClarisWorks 5 and AppleWorks 6 documents (both windows and mac versions) and will autodetect whether it needs LibreOffice Writer, Calc, or Impress (presentation), or Draw. AppleWorks databases may or may not open as spreadsheets with formulas lost.

In either case above, you should export the opened AppleWorks content to Microsoft document formats for optimal portability.

The third option is an 2009 - early 2011 Mac that can install and run OS X 10.6.6 thru 10.6.8, and run AppleWorks 6.2.9 natively on that machine. Use that oppportunity to export the AW content to Microsoft formats.
