AirPort Time Capsule Is Green but cannot be found

Good day

I have a 2TB AirPort Time Capsule which has been running fine for years. It appears it doesn't like macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 or its lates firmware update (7.7.9) as even though the AirPort Utility shows its green, I periodically get a message stating it cannot be found. Apple Support advised to wipe the unit and create a new backup. I did this and after working well for a few days I have the same issue.

These are my settings:

Internet --> DHCP

Internet Options --> IPv6 - Automatically; IPv6 Mode - Native

Wireless --> Network Mode - Off (I have it connected by ethernet cable direct to my cable modem/router)

Network --> Router Mode - Off (Bridge Mode)

I would very much appreciate any assistance...

Thank you

Regards
Peter

Yes. Do this for both WiFi and Ethernet

System Preferences / Network / WiFi / Advanced / TCP-IP / Link Local Only / OK / Apply

System Preferences / Network / Ethernet / Advanced / TCP-IP / Link Local Only / OK / Apply

Then, Restart your Mac

I am not very fluent in network setup, but isn't it best to not restrict traffic on the Mac?

As I said, the "Automatic" setting is not reliable. Unless your Internet Service Provider has given you very detailed instructions on how to set up IPv6, (It will not be "Automatic"), you should use the Link Local Only setting on your Time Capsule.

I would also recommend that you use the Link Local Only setting on your Mac as well. Post back if you are not sure how to do this.

Thank you for your quick reply. My ISP is Eastlink. I have a Arris Maestro whole home "TV" setup using Arris PVR, Arris DG3270A modem/router and an Arris WECB460/NA extender. The Mac and the TC are both on ethernet (no wireless enabled) and are connected by ethernet to the Arris Maestro box. I don't know if Eastlink uses IPv6 and cannot find anything on their support site mentioning it.

Thank you for your time.
