Macbook pro (2016) trackpad can't click

I'm using a MacBook Pro (late 2016) and in the last week, my trackpad has gotten stuck twice. By stuck I mean I can't click on anything, the cursor and gestures still work but I can't click down. It feels as if there's something wrong with the mechanism. I've noticed that it happens after I turn my laptop on from sleep mode, and when it happens I restart my laptop and the trackpad becomes unstuck. I just want to know how to permanently fix the problem.

Hi there!

I found that restarting my MacBook every time it happened fixed it. I chatted to Apple support and they said it happens when the MacBook hasn’t been turned off in a while. Hope this helps!

I have the exactly same issue with my 2017 MacBook Pro 15 inch. It happens in every 2-3 days.
