Need help I need to find out what’s wrong with my iPad I haven’t had it for so long .. this is been going on for a few days and I’m not quite sure if I should go down to Apple since I don’t drive I was wondering if there something wrong with the battery I don’t usually use my iPad unless I need to and when I’m not home I don’t charge it it should still be at 100 percent well it’s not that usually goes down to 60 or 70 at most but now it’s lower than that and I’ve been home since 9 o’clock southern California time which means now it’s barely 2 o’clock in the morning and it’s barely at %72 and are usually never connect to Wi-Fi

So your battery is discharging when your iPad is not being used?

Some of that is normal., but by how much can be affected by what the iPad is doing while it’s sitting there.

You can poke around in the settings, see if your e-mail is set to push or fetch. Push means it reaches out every few minutes to see ‘hey, is there a new mail’. So it is using battery in the background to do that. You can change your —mail to fetch or manual so that it only checks for mail if you tell it to.

There could also be settings for background app refresh, which means apps like the weather reach out regularly to update your local forecast and temperature. Turn that off and that process stops running in the background.

There is also background app update, meaning your ipad reaches out regularly to see if there are updates to apps that needs to be installed and will install them. Turn that off turns off that background activity.

You can try to change those settings and then see how much your ipads battery discharges when it sits there ‘asleep’
