I would like to Upgrade my iMac Mid 2015 I5 4590 with a I7 4790K, same socket and same power (88W)..
Is there anyone who replaced the CPU in the same machine?

the processor is socketed:
However, there are a host of issues with simply swapping CPUs the
biggest of which is the on board firmware which will likely not support
a different processor and cannot be changed.
the ifix it teardown would be the same even if the gpu was a different model
in terms of what you wish to do iMacs can be viewed as laptops really the cooling are made for the model of cpu it had options of being sold with so even if you can change it changes are it will overheat if it's a faster model

My 5k iMac is not the same as your suggestions.... this is MID 2015 model...similar but not the same.. for example i have the AMD Radeon R9 M290 GPU ( NOT AMD Radeon R9 M290X GPU ) and this model didn't have the possibility to choose I7 4.0 in the Apple Store configurations....
Late 2014 and Late 2015 iMacs comes with I5 and I7 Cpu.... MID 2015 only with I5.
What do you think??

Because i found lots of other replys talking about sockered CPU in all 5k IMACS....
