You want to save the RAW files in a folder on Mac?
Insert the card into the card reader slot and then launch Image Capture.
Select the card in the sidebar of the Image Capture window, then set the "Import to" selector at the bottom of the window to the folder you want to save the photos to. Select the RAW images you want to import.

What version of the OS and what camera? If you are up to date with High Sierra 10.13.2 and if your camera is on this listthen insert the SD card adn when photos opens import the images
