Can I safely sign out of my Apple ID?

I wanted to sign out of my apple ID so I could sign in with a different one. The problem is if I sign out of Apple Id. Will I lose my pictures, videos, etc, because I don’t have them synced with my ICloud account. Say I just log out and log back in, will I lose the pictures and videos in my camera roll because I didn’t back them up? Thanks, Chris

Signing out of iTunes or iCoud will not remove your Camera Roll photos from your device. Photo Stream Photos, Shared Photo Streams, and iCloud Photo Library photos will be removed from the device.

Can you explain what it is you are wanting to do and why you want to sign out? It would help us to provide you with a clearer answer as to the implications of doing so.

You are most welcome! Think of your Camera Roll as the same thing as a camera roll on a regular camera. They will remain on the Camera Roll until you delete them. I would recommend that you import them to your computer or to a cloud service like Dropbox, however. If you ever lose your phone, or run over it with your car, or drop it in the ocean, you can kiss those photos goodbye. You might have a recent backup of the Camera Roll to iCloud, but remember that your backup is an image of what your device looked like at the time of the backup. Anything that might have been removed prior to that backup will be gone:

And sorry to say, but I am not Gail Bram....just another GB 🙂
