Scams taking advantage of a bad Apple
There seems to be a lot of confusion out in musicland about what is Apple Music, and what is ITunes.... Are they one in the same? Is ITunes just one option under Apple Music? Are there two separate Apps, thus bills due from each?
Ive recently fallen into a scam that has used this confusion to steal money. As a retired US Marine Spec-Ops Guy, I admit I’m not very computer savvy in the Civilian world, but I am very security hip, and these Cats still got me for $12.99.
Not the National Treasury, ( there would be a minus sign and 20 zeros), but it’s the point. I was told I could try out this new App called Apple Music, which was more encompassing, better this and faster that, for 3 months for free. At that point I could keep the new and replace my ITunes, or disregard the new App. As soon as I pushed “try for 3 months free” my music went crazy and basically my ITunes went away and I was to select a new playlist, artists, genre,etc... looked legit to me. It also asked if I wanted to keep my ITunes collection, to that, of course, I said yes.
This morning I had an email and a receipt where they had gone into my info Apple had as if I purchased the ghost App. I’ve written to Apple, ITunes Support, now the community, and nobody has a clue.... So...one more time, does anybody know about this or confused by Apple’s music labels?
