Will quick charging reduce battery life and/or durability?

I have recently purchased an iPhone X and the USB-C and 29W power adapter. The device gets really hot while charging. I am concerned that using the quick charge feature every time would reduce the battery life over time, compared to daily charging with the adapter/cable that comes bundled with the device.

According to Apple, it does not harm the battery. This support document provides information on what you can use to safely fast charge your device. Fast charge your iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus - Apple Support

Yeah i made the same experience. The fast charge adapter (smallest apple sells)with usb-c cable indeed heats up my X also pretty much. I only use it when i have to charge my mobile very quick, and while i don’t use it. Like this the heat is minimal. But if u use your mobile and charge it with the quick charger alot of heat get not dissipated fast enough. Use the iPad adapter instead. Or im using the wireless belkin charger who is also very fast.
