iPhone x Bottom Speaker

There are two speakers on the iPhone X, one at the earpiece and one on the bottom (I do NOT refer to the mic). Sound used to play on the bottom speaker (e.g., speakerphone, music, etc.). Now it doesn't. It ONLY ever plays from the earpiece. I have restarted, turned off DND, and reset network settings (i.e., bluetooth). I have not found anything about this issue. I never had any distortion or crackling, like others reported.

The bottom speaker used to work, and now it doesn't. What gives? Any fixes/tips/advice?

Update: I spent most of the day trolling these forums and see almost no one with the same issue. Some reported losing sound out of the earpiece speaker, while others report missing "both" speakers on the bottom. I'm aware that the left side is the microphone. It's the speaker on the right side, bottom, that's not working: in any app.

Tried all I could think of, but it really seems like a software thing. My thinking: sound exists... it is simply isolated to the earpiece speaker ALWAYS. It doesn't matter what I do, what I play, or how I access the media, available sound always comes from the earpiece speaker and never the bottom speaker. I noticed this during speakerphone calls when they seemed more muted/quiet than usual. Then I duplicated the issue with music; I used to be able to put the phone in an empty glass to create a sort of loudspeaker. YouTube, iTunes Movies and Music, etc., all are the same. I haven't had issues with the headphones and I've never connected wireless headphones.

Thanks for the help, all. This one really has me irritated and perplexed.

Honestly, I hadn't even spent any time in those settings and woah... there are so many that I hadn't seen before. This was a fun tip, even if it didn't solve the issue. Thanks Mr. St***d!

Others had reported that their Bluetooth speaker configuration was causing software conflicts with the way iOS routed sound (i.e., to which speaker on the phone). Since I'd already tried so many other options, I figured I'd try that too.

Off to the apple store I go, it seems!
