To be sure that you can still send images, go to Settings->Messages and see if you have MMS Messaging enabled.

You must have MMS plan from your provider to send pics/gif to non Apple devices.
Make sure your MMS plan is provision properly by your provider.
Anyone else having issues send pics and gifs to phones that aren’t iPhones ? IPhone 7, problem just started occurring last week. Already installed recent update and turned phone on/off. I message is on. IPhones ?
