If the device is actually indicating it is disabled by too many passcode attempts, then your data is already lost. Your only option now is to restore it in iTunes to reset it.

Not backing up vital or important data on any single electronic storage device is a disaster simply waiting to happen. You should always be backing up data on your smart phone, tablet, laptop or computer, digital camera, etc. Any single electronic storage device can fail for any one of countless reasons.

your only option is to wipe that phone back to factory settings to remove the passcode, that you can't remember.

if these picture where the story of your life, why didn't you back it up on a regular basis or at the very least import it to your computer.

Well, might be too late to save your images now.

Hint: Save all your images to a computer before anything bad happened like any other digital camera.
