Hi. This worked for me.

This method may fix bug that causes the issue, and won’t delete any data on your device. Just head to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Brother no problem with phone , that problem come because of iCloud backup . When u will reset ur phone do not take back up from ur iCloud . To slove this problem u have to erase ur whole phone first . Then ur have to select set phone as new phone . That is the only solution .

For erase :

General - reset - erase all content and setting

Then it restart from new point with apple logo:

When u will reset ur phone do not select iCloud backup option and do not select it after start ur phone even :

- select as new phone

Following the experience of another user, I was able to fix the problem on my phone by making a FaceTime call and hanging up. That and subsequent FaceTime and Voice calls show up in the call log. Doesn’t make much sense but it worked for me.

Have you updated your to latest version

I am just wondering if this happened after an update. I would assume that it did. If so once you have tried to close the App and reset the phone you could also reset the phone. I would recommend backing it up first if you do have a Mac preferably. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977

I found problems with my iPhone recent call log after using iTunes with my iPad. After doing that, my recent calls listing disappeared. I fixed it by plugging in my iPad to my PC. All was normal again on my iPhone. Who knows why!

I have closed down apps and re-started and still no recent caller list. My playlists have also disappeared.

Yes .... about 2 months ago I went to update my phone to latest version then all of sudden I noticed my recent call log wasn’t saving my calls I had to way to see my missed calls or anything contacted apple they reset my phone first then reset it with my computer still didn’t work now they want me to go to apple store which is hard cuz I’m basically bed bound so yeah i at least want a fully functioning phone

Still facing same issue even after restarting the phone/ closing the app and restarting my phone. Please let me know some other alternative for the same. I am facing this issue after updating to ios 11

My phone is not logging recent calls either. This is detrimental as I am self employed. First I am setting up an Apple Store appointment. Then I am backing up and completing the latest upgrade. I will report back.
