No minimize button while playing video on Safari

I can’t minimize the video on Safari whilst video is still playing. there’s no minimize button anymore. There’s the X button, maximize, mute, pause rewind and forward. Is this the new feature? I used to minimize videos all the time while I go through the whole site on my iphone 6 but it doesn’t have that capability now on my iphone 7. Help!

It would maybe help us if you could include a screenshot in your thread.

Until we get this resolved, you can when in Full Screen Mode hold the video with one finger and then swipe either down or up, that should minimise it just like it did before.

Hi. Here’s the screenshot. Normally, if I use Safari and watch videos (not Youtube), it used to have the minimize button but now it only has the maximize one, close button, sound, pause/play, rewind/forward. Hope I’m making sense 😑
