How to save a svg file with Safari

On Chrome it work but I'd like to change to Safari. When chrome displays an image svg, I make a cmd + S to save it.

For exemple this svg file https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.3/svg/1f642.svg

When I do that on Safari, it save a webarchive and not a svg file. 😟

💡Does anyone have a solution?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), null

The solution to save a svg file with safari :

1- Display the file svg on Safari

2- Right click the svg, "Save Page As..."

3- In the new registration window, select the format "source". That's all!

😊Thanks VikingOSX and QuickTimeKirk for your help!

The large image that you see is provided to you via a Content Management Server that does not initially expose the .svg extension. See that url in the save dialog?

You must first open the image in a separate Safari browser window so that only it is exposed, and you see .svg at the end of that URL. Then, you can right-click on the .svg image and Save As… and the .svg extension will be available.
