I have a MacBook Air with OS High Sierra 10.13.2
I have iPhoto 9.6.1
I find references to access and use Photo Booth in older postings, but do not find that app anywhere.
How do I take a photo with my MacBook Air?

Thanks so much Ferd II. This solved my problem. I had never seen the app before searching for it in my applications folder!
Photo Booth is part of every OS X install, and the app is in your Applications folder. It has nothing at all to do with iPhoto.
