MacBook Air model a1466 “mainboard”

I had received my MacBook Air (model a4166) in September of 2016 for college, from the start of owning this computer I’ve had issues with it. I ran into keychain problems, then I had to manually reset the computer to startup. Everything was fine with the computer after that, until a month and a half of my warrantee was up. October 2017, I was on YouTube, watching mindless videos before bed when I got a black screen of death, similar to windows when you improperly turn it off and back on except it stayed on my screen for .2 seconds and turned completely black. I tried to turn it back on and it was now completely unresponsive. My computer is like my child, I’ve even had a Genius tell me they’ve never seen a computer this old in such amazing conditions. I’ve done the SMC reset, nothing. Apple support and a Genius ran many tests on my computer and came down to it needing the “mainboard” replaced. Has anyone else have this issue with this model?
