iPhone X disconnects from CarPlay on an integrated Volkswagen Passat audio system (Discover Media Pro)
Ten days ago I bought a new Vokswagen Passat 2.0 TDI Business edition including a Discover Media Pro system to connect mobile phone using CarPlay.
Since the first moment I connected my iPhone X, problems started. The phone, after few minutes, when I received the first phone call disconnected. It happened several times and it is repeating every day.
I'm using only an Apple cable and I tested, without any success, also a new one.
I put in place the following activities, without any result:
- I opened CarPlay on iPhone X settings and selected from My Car:"Volkswagen"
- I disconnected the car
- I reset CarPlay
- I closed all the open apps
Two times I see a message on the phone screen communicating that the device was not supported and it appeared an error code, but I didn't have the chance to write down the error code and the message text. But, after that, there was not disconnection for the whole trip (almost two hours).
Do you have any suggestion?
