Unable to Delete Frequently Visited Sites

I have an iPhone 8 with the latest iOS (11.2.2). Just like always, whenever I visit a webpage enough in the safari browser, it sets that webpage as a “frequently visited site”, allowing me to just click on a link in order to open that page. Back when I had an iPhone 6, if I wanted to delete one of those frequently visited sites, all I had to do was press and hold on the link. Doing so would cause a small “x” to appear on the link, allowing me to delete the link from my list of frequently visited sites. I have tried doing the same thing with my iPhone 8, but it doesn’t work. Pressing and holding down on the link just opens the webpage in the browser. Is there some new way to delete individual links from your frequently visited sites list? Also, I believe that there is a way, within settings, to completely get rid of the frequently visited sites list. That isn’t what I want to do. I just want to delete individual links from the list, while keeping others. Thank you for any insight and help that you can give me! :)

Hey! Your iPhone 8 has a feature your iPhone 6 did not called 3D Touch. If you press into your screen like it’s a button, you’ll get a bunch of shortcut options. For example, when you 3D Touch a Link, a web browser window pops up and you can open that link. This is expected behavior.

If you just hold your finger on the link for your Frequently Visited sites, and don’t physcially press into the display, you should get a menu pop up with an option to edit or delete. I had to hold my finger on mine for a few seconds and then actually let go before the menu popped up.
