Macbook Air Ripoff by Apple Markville Store Canada

Hi,

I just need to get my issue resolved asap.

I bought my Macbook Air 13" in April 3, 2017 and the Sales consultant who was aware that this was my first purchase as i was switching from Windows to Apple, She sold me Early 2015 model while I asked her I am looking for lasted model for 2017. I was not aware how to check the Model and when I recently visited my cousin who bought the same 13" Macbook Air in 2017 she got 2017 Model as she has been apple macbook user for long time.

My question is why I got ripped off by Apple Store in Markville Canada, when I talked to store instead of rectifying the problem they said they can not do any thing and ask me to contact Apple Customer service.

I need this problem resolve ASAP. I will post my receipt and model number screen shot so every one can see how Apple Store ripped me off.

This is totally unfair practice I should have been told by Sales Consultant at the time of purchase that she is giving me early 2015 Model.

I have the full amount with no discounts so why I have received early 2015 model when buying in April 4, 2017?

I have asked for 2017 Model and I have been told its latest 2017 Model.

You got the latest 2017 model when you bought it. There was no scam.

You need to understand: computer models are NOT always updated every year. And the current model is the "latest" until a new one is introduced. It does NOT matter which year it was originally introduced - as long as there is no newer model available, it is the current and latest. Period.

FWIW, there wasn't a new iMac introduced until mid 2017 - up until then, the 2015 models were the current and latest iMacs available.

I think you are not getting my point here.

****Why Apple did not disclose the fact they are selling me Early 2015 when I specifically asked for Latest 2017 Model****

The issue is UNFAIR practice where Apple did not disclose the entire fact..

You asked for the latest model and they sold you the latest model. Did you ask if the model was just released in 2017? Apple is also very tight-lipped about updates. Often the new updates are announced that day and they're in stores immediately. Only the managers and employees trusted not to disclose it seem to know that there's going to be a new product, and the regular employees aren't allowed and/or don't know when the new ones will be available unless there are public releases stating that.

I've got an iPad Mini 4, which has been out on the market for over 2 years without an update. I bought my mid-2012 MacBook Pro in 2015 over 2-1/2 years after it went on the market, and it was still available for over 4 years after it was first released.

I totally Understand..Should not Apple Sales Consultant told me what I am getting in 2017??

This is kind of unfair practice when I was under the impression I am getting 2017 model and I specifically mentioned to Sales Consultant I need 2017 Latest Model.

Does it mean if some one switching from Windows to Mac will not need to know anything ahead of time?Does not it Apple Responsibility to disclose everything?
