I'm trying to restore ipad for my children. They don't remember their passwords. I'm stuck at an activation code error. Any suggestions? We don't know the icloud username or password that was originally used to setup ipad.

I'm not trying tp play with semantics but if you mean the activation lock, IT IS COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE TO UNLCOK THE DEVICE without knowing the Apple ID and password that was used to lock the device.
